By far my favorite south indian restaurant in Oman. Very nice ambiance and decor. Service is always great too. I visited for the first time a year ago and since then i go once every two weeks at least . Food is spicy but super tasty and for the quality it offers it’s price reasonably . I always end my meal with their special coconut pudding , it’s cold and creamy and i feel is the beast thing you can have after eating spicy food

Ananthapuri Restaurant in Muscat is a true gem for lovers of authentic Kerala cuisine. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with traditional Kerala-style decor that gives a cozy, homely vibe. During my visit, I tried their Kerala special biryani and mutton fry, both of which were outstanding ,the biryani had rich, layered flavors with tender meat, and the mutton fry was perfectly spiced, crispy on the outside yet juicy inside. Their appam, beef roast, and prawn curry also deserve a special mention for their authenticity and taste. Portion sizes are generous and ideal for sharing, though some dishes are slightly pricier than average. The staff was courteous and helped with recommendations, and the service was prompt despite the evening rush. It can get a bit noisy when crowded, but the overall experience from food quality to hospitality was excellent. Definitely one of the best places in Muscat to enjoy traditional South Indian flavors with a focus on Kerala specialties.
Once you try it, you will love it👌 Anathapuri is a famous Kerala restaurant in Oman. The success of this restaurant is that they have been able to maintain their name since its start. All the fish, chicken, and beef dishes here are very tasty, especially the Shappile Meen Curry, which is super. They have one dining hall and two party halls. The small party hall is like a small miniature of an old Kerala village Kavala. Note: If you like to relax and taste the food, better to go during the weekdays because the weekend will be very crowded and sometimes the taste of the dishes will not be the same as on other days.
Best South Indian Restaurant on that side of Muscat in my opinion. Authentic, friendly staff, continuous quality of food and service, it’s like a mini vacation. And the menu, yummy
The best Kerala food outside of Kerala and so much value for money, topped with the smiling staff and the cheesy Xmas music and among entire indians families spending family time together. We are truly stuffed! The the dry Gobi curry, kizi parotta beef and the Bindi, all so yum!!
Great food, great customer service and great atmosphere, and they even gave a free candy after paying our bill. But the only downside is that sometimes when there are a lot of people u might have to wait a long amount of time before u finally get to a table. 4.5 out of 10 would recommend.
Very good Indian restaurant. From the part of India that has no dosa. Very good butter chicken(basic non-spicy curry). Very good shapati and coconut mutton. Very nice design inside of the building. The desserts we wanted had run out. But we got a very nice coconut pudding.
Very authentic Indian restaurant where we have got a very very very good service, exceptional suggestions based on our explanation, food was as described, tasty and good, portion very nice for sharing in 2 person and for the price we were very happy when the check was ready. Absolutely postive experience.
We chose Anathapuri Restaurant to celebrate our Christmas party, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. The Christmas decoration was beautiful, and the food was simply amazing — full of authentic flavors and top quality.
